Baby

First Year Photo Challenge

For years I would do those little monthly photo challenges. You know the ones that almost every month start of with a selfie and then have things like the color yellow, a bright flower, a sunset.

I never used these pictures.

Some people love to take pictures of things. That’s what they fill their photo albums up with, pictures of places they’ve been, food they’ve ate, art they’ve seen. Not me.

I love pictures of people. That’s what my albums are filled with–people.

But I still love the idea of a photo challenge because it keeps you accountable so I thought a photo challenge for baby would be so much fun. And I was certain someone else had thought of it before (and honestly maybe they have) but after scouring the internet–okay pinterest– I realized that maybe I was the only nut job to have this idea.

After all, it’s work and after just having a baby, many people would balk at the idea. And there is already so much to do after having a baby so maybe that’s why no one has posted this idea before.

But I’m crazy so I made my own.

It wasn’t easy.

I mean, it was easy to think of things to take pictures of but because I don’t know the due date (though I will soon if it ends up being a c-section, but I hope not!) I wasn’t sure how many days to add. 29 if he’s born in feburary or 31 if he’s born in March?

Well, I decided on 31 because it’s easy just to remove one. I doubt it will be easy with my postpartum brain to try and come up with one on the spot that day.

Any fellow crazy pregnant moms who would like to join me on this #Babys1stYearPhotoChallenge ?? I tried my best to make it universal so no matter the due date it would work but in any case, I decided I wouldn’t complicate myself and if I take a picture of the umbilical cord on day 6 rather than day 4, it’s not a big deal.

And I’m having a little boy so I made it green with dinosaurs–still pretty gender neutral to me but if anyone is interested, I made one in pink too! Just let me know and I can send it to you.

But anyway, for all of you who are curious… here is what I came up with.

Is there someone else you would add, something you would take off? Let me know and stick around for month two!
